Are my images uploaded?
No. Your images stay on your device and are processed by your browser. They are never uploaded to a server, and you do not need an account.
Does PNG improve a JPG’s quality?
PNG saves the decoded pixels without further lossy compression, but cannot restore detail lost in the JPG. It does not create a transparent background, and photographs may become larger.
Will PNG remove the JPG background?
No. JPG has no transparency, so the original background remains in the PNG. This converter does not remove backgrounds.
Which files can I convert?
Use static images: up to 20 files per batch, 20 MiB per file, 25 megapixels and 10,000 pixels per dimension. Animated and multi-frame images are not supported. Files are checked by their contents, not just their names.
