Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Your images stay on your device and are processed by your browser. They are never uploaded to a server, and you do not need an account.

Will this change image quality or metadata?

No. Only the downloaded file extension changes to .jpg. The image data stays exactly the same, including EXIF photo details. There is no recompression or quality setting.

Can I use this to convert a PNG?

No. Renaming a PNG would not make it a JPEG. This page accepts only validated JPEG images. Use JPG Converter to encode other formats as JPG.

Which files can I convert?

Use static images: up to 20 files per batch, 20 MiB per file, 25 megapixels and 10,000 pixels per dimension. Animated and multi-frame images are not supported. Files are checked by their contents, not just their names.
